About Us

Dan and Carmen Hoefs have been Padgett Business Services office owners since 2006.  They joined the franchise as a result of a long search for a business of their own.  They settled on Padgett because of the focus on small businesses and the entrepreneurs who own and operate them.  The consultative approach of the Padgett model allows Dan and Carmen to work closely with their clients providing them much needed services and, most importantly, peace of mind.

Dan is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service and uses his 20 years of experience in business to help clients with multiple aspects of their business.  Dan has a degree from North Dakota State University.  Carmen applies her organizational skills to assist clients and to keep the Padgett office running smoothly.  She has a degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College and is a Master Gardner.

Dan and Carmen are both North Dakota natives and long time Fargo residents who are active in the community.  They both serve as Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.  Dan serves on the Board of Directors/Advisers for several non-profits and academic organizations. Carmen is a Vice President of the Women’s Business Exchange. They have two children, Adam and Christine.  Adam lives and works in Minneapolis while attending American International University and has recently started his own small business.  Christine currently attends North Dakota State University.

In their free time, Dan & Carmen enjoy their back yard oasis.
